In typical UGA-boning fashion we of course have the toughest path in OMaha as well since there's no reseeding. So we'll square off with Texas, likely teh 2nd best SEC team all season, while the other bracket gets midgets like WVU and Troy. Yes, I know about troy, spare me.

We got a totally shite draw in supers and are getting a totally shite draw in omaha. The bright side is that if we get by Texas in game 1 in omaha, MAN we've gotta feel good about ourselves. Bama isn't really scary (nor is KU/OU) so if we get by that one we've gotta feel nice.

And I truly do not fear anyone on the entire left side of the bracket.

ETA: any updates on vigue? Our pitching lately has left a lot to be desired but they're gonna be what carries us in omaha. Our hitting is good regardless of where we play so no worires there but we're gonna run into some other damn good hitting teams so we need our guys to not serve up a "zach brown 7th inning" type of performance

Sounds like a bruise and would guess he'll be back soon.

Pretty excited I live about 45 minutes from the field. Looks like the weather might be on the cooler side too.

There was a guy in a tRant thread calling for him to be fired yesterday and today.

The same guy wants Kirby fired, too.

Our side of the bracket will be a mini SEC tournament.

Georgia vs Texas
Alabama vs Oklahoma

I’d rather play a non SEC team in the finals if we make that far, so I’m not complaining.

Omaha is a great experience. Went last year for my son's baseball tournament. We were able to go to a couple of games. The whole town is abuzz. I equated it to Mardi Gras for baseball fans. 80% there because they love baseball. 20% supporting their teams. Last year I was rooting for LSU due to family ties but it would be really fun with the Dawgs there. Great Steakhouses. Casino across the river in Iowa. Walkable downtown. It was unbearably hot - that was the only downer. If the weather is mild it might be top 5 sporting experiences I have been to. If you can go - get there. Hoping I sway a few folks on the fence! It's special. Go Dawgs!

Follow up. If it's hot don't dare sit in the outfield. Brutal! Learned that lesson the hard way! Pay the extra money to be behind home plate in the shade.

Allegedly gonna be high 70’s low 80’s for Friday-tues, but we’ve had lots of rain so it’s gonna be humid. Also predicting rain in the early evening so that could mean the possibility of Tornado weather.

Nebraska got screwed weather wise, can be the artic and it's one of the hottest places I have ever been .... My shoes melted to bumper of my truck there once....

Omaha the city is a nice midsize city with lots to do.

Anybody going to try to make the trip to Omaha?

i looked briefly, but doesnt seem super manageable without significant work time off on short notice.

going this weekend friday-sunday for example and you only get to see 1 of our games. waiting to see if we are still alive for the 2nd weekend is pretty tough to plan for.

i understand that you're going for more than just our games, but i cant justify it to only see us play once.
