Lots of rumors.

Rumors that Kojo Antwi wants to flip
WR is one of the murkiest positions, apparently.

You gotta think this defense should automatically seal the deal with Bear. Especially A&M sucking arse and having 0 future… I can’t imagine him not recommitting to the good guys. He said this was the best recruiting visit he’s ever had.

Right on Queue… Not surprised by Bear’s decision.

Yes, but he was asking about WRs. There are several but that is one of the murkier positions.

And I highly doubt Nolen. Especially with us picking up Bear. Pretty sure Nolen is headed to A&M.

Wilson and Singletary are definite takes and according to some are silent commits.

I have not heard of a connection. I tried looking for it on the internet and did not see it, but my computer is acting wonky right now.

I wouldn't look past Nolen. They are pitching Davis replacement to him with Bear possible DE.

Don’t think we’re recruiting Nolan very hard right now.

Julian Humphrey decommits from Florida

James and Humphrey were their top 2 commits and we could swing them both to the Dawgs

I hope Dawgs don't lose anybody in the process.

Just spitballing here...and I haven't seen anything mentioned on the other board, but I was wondering if we should take another RB this cycle. I figure Zamir and James Cook will go pro after this year, and I am wondering with little playing time if Daijun Edwards might transfer out. He could get passed by Branson Robinson and Jordan James might pass him in the depth chart.

I think Branson likely will pass him but James is probably on the same trajectory. Edwards has performed well when given a shot. I think he’ll be solid RB4 next year.

Edwards would be a solid RB4. But he would also be a sophomore. His junior year he would still be behind Milton, Robinson and McIntosh. Then his senior year he would still have Robinson and James not to mention whoever we take the last next year and the next.

I was just spitballing. I'm not sure I would stick around. Chances of him going to the NFL are not high, and I imagine before his football days are behind him he would want to play some. He could probably be the feature back at some G5 school.

A RB4 back here doesn't get a whole lot of touches.

I'd hold off on assuming that Edwards doesn't make meaningful contributions. Lovasea Carrol moved over to DB because it didn't look good for him, but Edwards is still here and has had some good looking carries for us, despite Cook and White on the roster this year. Yes, KM2 and KM6 likely in the drivers seat next year, but I think it's a mistake to pencil Branson in above Edwards as a true freshman. Kirby has shown that for RBs to make it onto the field, they have to be able to handle *all* of the responsibilities, and pass pro as a true freshman RB is not a sure thing.

Could easily see Edwards having a Herrien-esque role on this team. He may never be a homerun hitter, but early in the season this year, there was an argument to be made that he was a better double hitter than the RBs ahead of him, taking exactly what was available and cutting up field with his blocks.

All true, and I liked how he looked last season. his role just seemed to decrease this year. That's what prompted my thoughts.

His role may not have shrunk. It might just be my imagination.

Couple things:

He’s a true sophomore now.

Why do you think his chances at the NFL are slim? Our RB4 (McIntosh) currently has a pretty good shot and he waited his turn to contribute after being behind Swift, Zues, Cook, and currently Milton.

Our current RB4 has gotten plenty of touches when healthy the past 2 seasons.

He just isn't getting a very big role, and of all our recruits when we got him, he was the one we put off until the last second. I liked what I saw from him, but he just seems to be getting passed.

Just a thought, guys. That's all. I mean he is a true sophomore and he has gotten 29 carries. Next year he will still be behind Milton, McIntosh and I still think Branson Robinson will be the #3 back.

Again. Just my opinion. Nobody has to get all upset.
