Needed him back in Athens one more time to close the deal.

Ikr. McConkey finished with a 4.5 and completed his associates.

Very true. Not sure that many would of passed on Evans. There's always something crazy going on with kids, but the days of knowingly signing a kid with issues are over. Passed on a couple this cycle already.

Does it seem Kirby gets recruits to flirt with Florida before committing to the good guys? I remember Beck did this and someone else I can't remember. Anyway, I like it.

Think it's the relationships that these recruits have amongst themselves that gets the trash talking going. Along with just building anticipation (attention).
In Carroll's case it seems he wanted to send a message to be left alone. Recruits are starting to prepare for their season and they've been bombarded with calls from so many schools lately. Rules got adjusted where, not only onfield coaches could contact them, but anyone on the staff.
But I'm sure Kirby didn't mind the slight at Florida at all. Kids just don't relate well to Florida's staff and it shows. Even the recruits that grow up wanting to play in Gainesville have trouble committing there.

Back on 5/30/20 it was said more good news was coming after Dylan Fairchild committed, and the coming news was rated a “10”. Just checking to see if that news was still expected?
