Tell me about nate mcbride, d. walker, and will this Anderson character contribute right away? What linebackers enrolled early this year?

If Walter Grant can get on the field with a stacked and senior-laden defense, then Anderson (who's more talented than Grant) certainly will in 18.

Man, honestly,I have no fukkin clue where were going to be LB wise, Walker and Grant can be forces, maybe Rice and potentially McBride, after that....... Patrick is probably gone...I hope (it would free up a ship and honestly didn't impresses me much when he was starting).

Hopefully some of the redshirt frosh and true frosh step up Big-time for us next year

Can Anderson jump on the scene like Clowney did and tear up qb’s his freshman year while he learns things like tackling running backs and contain, and covering tight ends?

With all the youth and/or inexperience at LB do we run more 4-3 in 2018?

We seem to be in a better situation with DL than LB.

Quick 247 check shows no 2018 linebackers enrolled early.

Not good.

Patrick and Taylor have the most experience (Assuming Patrick is still here) McBride and Rice pushing them.

SR-(4*) Natrez Patrick
SR- (3*) Juwan Taylor
RSJR-(2*) Tae Crowder
SO-(4*) Nate McBride
SO-(4*) Jaden Hunter
SO-(3*) Monte Rice
FR- (4*) Channing Tindall

Has a legit shot at starting day 1.

Monte Rice, Patrick, Hunter and Taylor will all be playing. Probably our worst position group.

Luckily this is the position group that Kirby has always been able to develop. We will be fine. Certainly not as good as 2017 but fine.

McBride has laid the boom a few times on ST this year. Would love to see how he does against defenses.

The one difference I noticed with/without Patrick was stopping the run, particularly up the middle. He had the size to take on blockers even if he wasn't always in on a lot of tackles. It would be nice to have an experienced guy returning, but he's just not reliable at all.

Rice is probably the frontrunner at this point as he was the primary backup to the top 3. Juwan Taylor will be a senior with only about 2 meaningful games of PT on defense. Tae Crowder got a lot of 4th quarter reps this season. Did Jaden Hunter redshirt? I don't remember seeing him play.

Should be an interesting battle for those spots.

DW is a pure pass rusher. His awareness and focus needs some improvement. With starter snaps, he should get double digit sacks. Walker has to lead the young guys: Grant, Anderson, Beal, and Cox.

It's alot of talent on the inside. Problem is they are young and smallish for the Roquan role.

Wasn’t McBride also a track star in highschool? Maybe he will have that sideline to sideline speed like roquan

There is certainly no one there with the talent of Roquan. But didn't he only play at about 225? He wasn't huge by middle linebacker standards.

McBride has phenomenal speed, hopefully he gains about 10-15 pounds of muscle in this off-season and has the football IQ to be a leader in the next couple of years at ILB, he has the athletic ability, let's see if he has the football IQ to be the next Roquan

Anderson for the early impact?

SR-(4*) Keyon Brown
SR-(4*) D'Andre Walker
JR-(4*) Jaleel Laguins
SO-(3*) Walter Grant
RSFR-(4*)Robert Beal
FR-(5*) Adam Anderson
FR-(4*) Azeez Ojulari

I think McBride is in the 10.6 hundred meters area in high school, kid can fukkin FLY for A ILB (or OLB for that matter)

But can he see, tackle and call the game for the defense like Roquan, a awesome ILB is the QB of the defense
