Well that's the one thing I do feel good about. I seriously doubt Miami has the stomach to give Diaz $1m a year let alone the $1.5m*-$2m that Temple would offer for their next HC. Assuming he is making around what other top assistants not named Venables in the ACC get he probably maxes out somewhere around $800k as their DC.
*$1.5 is what Rhule was making before they upped his salary to $2m-ish when they were trying to keep him from jumping.

No doubt Temple would rather get in a bidding war with UM than A&M. For the record I to believe if he leaves it won't be about money.

Yeah, I would be game to give Elko $3M/year if that kept him from taking a G5 gig. We need him to pattern himself after Kirby Smart. If you have a big enough P5 coordinator gig, you can just sit back and wait for the right P5 HC job to open up without having to go coach in the G5. Hopefully, Elko thinks this way as well.

There is no chance in hell Elko is going to Temple.
The owner of footballscoop is a guy names Zach Barnett, who is a sip and regularly blasts A&M on twitter. This is a ploy to negatively recruit A&M. That's it. Nothing more. It's nothing to worry about. Elko will eventually leave us, but it won't be for Temple.

You would have to think some of the BMAs agree after the turn around we had on the defense last year.
We look back with hindsight and see that Kliff leaving early is why we didn't max out the JFF era like we could have.
Temple is no Texas Tech so maybe we can dodge that fate again.
