This might be the year we get shut out at Kyle Field, almost 50 years to the day it last happened. (October 2, 1971 - October 9, 2021)

Not sure if this is the correct thread but anybody listening to the press conference ? Jimbo kind of touched on why they didn't run more at the end

Is this what you're referring to?

So it wasn't 2 possessions after the score, it was four.

And the penalty excuse is bs too. We had 6 1st and 10s after the Spiller TD.

Lets talk about how the rest of this season plays out.
People are estimated King will be back for Auburn. I have no idea is that's likely, wishful thinking, or just a random guess. Let's go with it for this discussion.

I think the glass half full prediction is we beat MSU, MU, & UofSC and lose to Bama. (3-1)
Then the Return of the King takes up to an undefeated Nov with wins over AUB, OM, PVAM, & Lsu. (4-0)
We finish the year 10-2 (6-2) and ranked in the top 8 with an argument we should be in the playoffs because we would have been undefeated with King.
Now, I think a slightly more realistic view is we drop one more. Either @OM or someone else with Calzda. 9-3 (5-3). Maybe both. 8-4 (4-4).

We lose every game before the bye at this point. Arkansas isn't even good, and MSU's DL is actually better

Okay, buddy. You've gone off the rails here. MS does have a nice DL, but we're not losing to U of SC, MU, & MSU. Maybe 1. Maybe even two if things go really wrong. I think that's pretty unlikely.

I think we'll be 3-1 heading into the bye. If king comes back for Auburn I think we win that one as well, I think we lose to OM and LSU is always a tough game plus playing them in death valley doesn't help. Hopefully by that point in the season the OL is improved and King is rolling

We scored 10 points against Colorado and you think it's a given we beat Moo, Zoo, and Scar? The frick? Minnesota and Arizona State both blew their doors off and both are mediocre at best.
Our $9m coach is out there straight making shite up to cover how terrible his play calling was against Arkansas. He's making a kid who is playing worse than any QB we've had in the last 2 decades drop back 40 times a game.
Where are you getting your optimism from?

Yes, I don't think anyone really knows when he'll be back. I've seen it'll be somewhere around SC or the Bye week but like Farmer said no clue if that's accurate
