Well, the numbers don’t lie, those numbers are improving and 63+% isn’t too bad.....
It still doesn’t account for the struggles he has in non stat areas. Like not taking off and running on a 3rd and 4 when nobody is open and he’s got plenty of space in front of him, ending a promising drive when we need points. Or overthrowing a wide open receiver for an easy touchdown than could swing momentum in our favor. Or throwing the dump off pass to the RB for 4 yards when we had Aubson wide open for 30 down the sideline.
I still don’t think he’s completed a pass of more than 20 yards in the air this year. If someone can correct me on that, I’m all ears.
Out of curiosity, what are his turnover stats to compare, both INTs and fumbles? Seems like he’s been a little less careful with the ball this year but that might be recency bias.

Through 10 games, Mond didn't have any lost fumbles in 2017, 2 lost fumbles in 2018 and 1 lost fumble in 2019.

Thanks for these, and TG’s points are well taken as well.

Pretty sure his TD to Ausbon against MSState was more than 20 yards or at least close to it.

Here are a few. I am sure I could find more.
Week 1 there was that amazing throw to Ausbon on the roll out (deep pass!) and another to Davis, both for TDs.
He was on the 18 and fired a TD to Rogers last week. he was a good 10 yards deep and threw it across the field. Not technically 20 yards, but the ball probably went 35 ards in the air.
He was on the 19 last week and hit Ausbon in the back half of the endzone. With his drop that one is close to 40.

He hit Ausbon? on a long one in the Arkansas game too.

Eh, so he’s got a few but not a ton. I still think that’s a problem with our run game, is nobody respects our verticality.

A few I can recall that went for TDs. I'm sure there are more and I agree we need improvements on the deep game. It'll help open other things up.

Long bomb to Ausbon in the Auburn game too.

Mond deserves some blame for the vertical passing game, but he is not the primary issue. To push the ball down the field you need pocket protection & speed at receiver to get separation down field. We have neither of those things.

Keep in mind he only played in 10 games in 2017.

Give Mond a decent O Line and his trajectory continues up. He's a solid qb that hasn't gotten a lot of help for much of the season. I also think he was ordered to not run since Jimbo decided Calzada was the #2 qb. That has since changed and Mond the running qb led to the offense starting to improve.
Frankly, given Jimbo's history, I think his coaching will most definitely give Mond a shot at making a NFL team.

2 or 3 quality good to very good offensive lineman and this years team is completely different. Mond is not the greatest but this year is not his fault.
A better offensive line and the entire dynamics of this team changes. Offense gets a lot better and the net effect is the defense is on the field less and plays even better.
The difference between great programs and the rest... no glaring weakness. Our offensive line... glaring weakness. Seems we always have this weakness somewhere every year. I'm ready to experience a "no holes" A&M team for a change.

Still improving despite the performance yesterday.

Maybe Senior Mond might not be as bad as we feared if this trajectory keeps going up.
He desperately needs some help. Just a middle of the pack line would do it.

For the first time all season, Mond is actually looking worse than his 2018 counterpart. He has almost 200 fewer yards passing on 11 more attempts, 4 fewer touchdowns and one more interception.
I think he has plateaued. We're not going to see a meteoric jump forward next season.

Well he was plateaued a number of times vs LSU. So, hard to argue with you.
With a very good offensive line he might have been a good to very good QB. Some guys need a great line to do well. He is one of those guys.

He’s just too intimidated on the road. He seems tentative and unsure when not at home
He’s good enough for nine wins next year at most, unless something drastically changes
