I also said I did some digging on coaches connected to Jimbo. Texted my buddy y suspected list and he said he had heard all of those names floated at some point. My guess as to Elko is based on Liucci’s cryptic bullshite. But regardless he and the Michigan State DC (who was a GA at LSU in 2003) were names I heard Jimbo liked along with Robinson. And this comes from a coach who is friends with Jimbo and Dabo. Venables is just a match to the criteria Jimbo will want so it’s hard to rule him out as someone we wouldn’t pursue no matter how unlikely.
I’ve been saying Robinson because he’s the only one I know has a mutual interest. I thought that Jimbo would pick him out and move on with it. I added Venables because he was likely ou “ungettable” target.
