I’ll put it this way, he will take the job. If Jimbo thinks he’s got Venables on the hook then go for it. But Robinson is our no 2 and could very well be the guy.

I will also say that yesterday i started to look at the DCs at P5 programs who will be coaching in bowl games and then started pulling names who either (1) have a connection to Jimbo, (2) have coached against Jimbo numerous times, or (3) just have strong SEC ties, and when I did that I got a decent list. If you eliminate clearly unqualified candidates and clearly unlikely candidates (ie Venables), I think you end up with a list of only a few people, one of whom Liucci is clearly talking about. I was told to consider people who Jimbo coached against. This matches up to another name I heard a week ago as someone Jimbo thought highly of on the defensive side, but in all honesty all I’ve heard since then is Robinson (from texags etc and my friends). I assumed we were going to tap Robinson’s number and call it a day. Maybe not though.

All I know is when I talk to my guy in the AD he says he knows nothing but the shite eating grin he can't hide says different. I have no idea who it will be but imma trust Jimbo for now.

I’m just surprised at how many people on tArk claim to have an insider or two in the athletic department. For a such a small group of regular posters our percentage of insiders must be ridiculously high compared to texags with thousands of posters and only one rojo.....

Neither do I, I’m just a bit skeptical of how many claim it. But then again I don’t know sh** so we might really have a ton of well connected peeps.
