Not just the SEC. Most of the nation seems to have caught some feelings about us jumping to the front of the line.

There always will be angst when the newcomer comes in and threatens the status quo. All we ever hear is how "A&M has underachieved for decades considering the size of school they are", so we try and do something about it and everybody loses their minds and gets mad. Damned if you do, damned if you dont, kind of is funny watching all the handwringing over it.

I saw something on twitter awhile back that i really agreed with. Theres no way A&M could go about this without being hated or seen as a villain, so you might as well get used to the backlash

I jumped on the SEC Rant the other day and the all out of vitriol against the Aggies was worse that I've ever seen. One post after another and pure hatred in some of the comments. Now in the end this may not matter and we may find it amusing. But some of the opinions seemed almost tribal in a Balkan sort of way.
