Really? It's free.

Here are the important parts of the article (the rest has nothing to do with A&M vs LSU);
quote:

If Texas A&M wants to play football on Thanksgiving in future years, it appears as if the Aggies will have to find a new Week 13 opponent.

Last week at SEC spring meetings, LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said the Tigers have no intention of playing their regular-season finale against A&M on the holiday.

The reasoning is pretty simple. Alleva said Thanksgiving is a day to hang out with the family.

"We're not playing on Thanksgiving," Alleva said.

Since the two teams became each other's Week 13 opponent starting in 2014, the game has been played on Thursday when A&M hosted at Kyle Field. In 2016, the Houston Chroniclereported the arrangement would no longer work because ESPN needed an annual series on Thanksgiving. The network settled on the Egg Bowl, the in-state rivalry between Mississippi and Mississippi State (which is one of the most heated contests in college football right now).

Would rather it be on Saturday, we gave the finger to the sips and swamp kittens by having it on Thxgiving for long enough.

Exactly, Sips said thanksgiving was THEIR day so we proved we could take it from them and embarrassed the shite out of them by posting 10X higher ratings

Cajuns said “we won’t play on that day”. Then we made them

Time to make it Saturday now

The opening Thursday night game is gonna be a logistical nightmare if the school continues with the current plan of holding a full class schedule.

Why would you expect it not to be?

because some other schools will schedule a lesser p5 program, like ASU, and then schedule a bigger name. texas has been acting that way and i wish we followed suit

We have no idea if ASU will be any good then or not. Same with CU too. Both are not very highly thought of, but i doubt we add another. With the way the system works now there is no reason too. tu can do so because their conference schedule is a joke. ISU, KU, BU might as well be non p5 games.

i just dont want our scheduling of schools like arizona state to get in the way of scheduling schools like notre dame or miami. its already difficult to get schools like that on the schedule and if we limit ourselves to one p5 ooc game a year, which i have no problem with, i just wish we wouldnt be wasting those games on ASU or colorado

Colorado looks like a fun arse trip. That ain’t a waste. We have ND & Clemson coming up. We just did UCLA. Those are some good names.

and i understand that. i have no issue with these type of games if we continue to bring in schools like notre dame. but i worry that we will see more of this than notre dame

Guess we will have to wait n see. There is a decent shot some get canceled. At one point we had both USCw & UO on the schedule.

what part about our past scheduling makes you think we will play more than one P5 team?

You may as well add Texas Tech to that mix.

I highly recommend a trip to Boulder. But that game in 95 that we lost to them with Leland at RB and we were ranked no 3 ranks right up there as the biggest heartbreaker that I’ve been too. Much worse than the loss in Lubbock the folllowing week.

Plus legalized pot would definitely make it worth it.

Meh. I'm not a hippie. I'd be much more interested in going hiking a few daya a couple of days before the game (provided there isn't any early snow).
