I can see why it’s Championship or bust, bring back basically the whole roster from last years team. Tbh, if we hadn’t lost Schloss I’d be perfectly in agreement with those expectations. But with a new HC I think we have to adjust our expectations for this season, at least at this stage before the first pitch is even thrown

I don’t know, the players who the ranking is based on all say the success was due to Early’s coaching

We know the talent is A++. We also know there are a bunch of other good teams out there.
I think the expectation is exactly the same after the coaching change: be one of the best teams in the country, earn a ridiculously high seed and make it to the CWS. Then at that point, I think you've done just about everything you can control and now a lot of luck comes into play and you just enjoy the moment and hope for the best.

And maybe it is, idk, and I’m not gonna say the players are lying about it either. I just wanna see Earley in action and making decisions in high pressure situations before I get too “Omaha or bust”. We have the best roster in the country, I firmly believe if he’s even a halfway decent coach we’re in the supers. And I think he’s gonna be better than halfway decent so we should be alright

Well said, I’m not trying to be negative or act like I don’t have faith in Earley. The players reaction to him getting hired was all I needed to see. Just trying to temper my own expectations cause I’m trying not to scream from the rooftop “Omaha bound!”

Just remember the postseason is crazy.
The best regular season in Aggie history (by a long shot) was '89. They didn't make Omaha. They lost in the Regional Finals (Equivalent to the Supers).
The 2022 Vols we're the best team I've watched. They went 56-7 before Supers with a 25-5 SEC record and zero losses in the SECT or Regionals. They went 1-2 vs ND and never made it to the CWS.
Last year we put up 8.5 Runs/Game. The champs (UT) did 9.0 and UGA led the SEC with 9.1. The 23 Champs (Lsu) did 8.9. The UT team mentioned above was at 9.3. I would not be the least bit shocked if we topped them all. This is not hyperbole. I truly think this lineup could be all-time great due its depth and high-end talent.

all of this i why i say just reaching omaha again is an accomplishment. its like march madness, or now the CFP. just make it, and anything can happen.

Roster is posted on Athletics dept pg. We have a lot of pitchers that I recognize their names... probably from Brauney and I always either trust Texags too much or ignore them w/ nothing in between.
