“.@Vol_Baseball's sweep over Appalachian State marks the first time in program history that the Vols have recorded a three-game series sweep without allowing a run.

This year's team also joins the 1916 and 1965 teams as UT's only teams to post three straight shutouts in a season”

BaseVols have now gone 36 innings without allowing a single run.

Is that good?

54 innings, 1 run allowed, already have as many shutouts in 6 games as we had in all of 2017 and 2018 COMBINED.

Is that good? That seems pretty good. I still don't know.

I think we have a legit pitching staff. Stallings and Liginfelter have size and good arms. Neely as a Senior should be a good Sunday arm. Then you have Crochet who has great stuff as a tall lefty and Wallace and Schultz in the pen. Hunley was a midweek and frosh all American last year can chew up innings as well. That’s not counting any of the big freshman such as Pleasants and Sewell.

Frank Anderson is the pitching coach. Go read his bio. Don’t even know how is on our staff but he is.
