Let's get this rolling boys. It almost feels like a season long thread with this team and staff has to be mandatory. I'm still on cloud 9 after Saturday's win. VOLS and Lady VOLS knock off #1 Gonzaga & #12 @Texas on the same weekend

I had only seen 3 of the 8 or so games so far, and was really wondering where Schofield had gone. I felt like he was our best player when it mattered most last year. He absolutely went off in that second half though and reminded me who he can be when it matters.

The Gonzaga game was eerily similar to the Kansas game but this Schofield was back to his normal self. In some ways, the experience of losing to Kansas probably helped us win against Gonzaga.
Also, I think it fired Admiral up that one of the Gonzaga players was talking so much smack to him. I think that was even mentioned after the game that it motivated him a lot.

Schofield and William's are going to mess around and go down as some of the all time greats before they leave UT.. for me at least. Maybe not at the top of the list, but close. The way Barnes has developed our roster is nothing short of a miracle.

The BasketVOLS are really exciting this season. I'm hoping the last game of the season (@ Aubie) doesn't matter because we have trashed the rest of our schedule. Every game looks winnable at this point, with many, even in SEC play, looking like gimmes (knock on wood). We need something to get excited about in regards to VOLS athletics.

Good news on DJ Burns from the Warroom post on VQ. He's on the same S&C path that Admiral and Grant took on to become more lean and is a legit 6'9-6'10 with soft hands and a nice touch (pause) -- Rob Lewis seems to be very high on his potential for us after his RS year.
Jordan Bowden looking a lot better after being benched for Pons in the starting 5. Averaging 10 ppg since coming off the bench and was a big factor for the W over Gonzaga with those 2 critical 3's when the game seemed like it could get away.
Lamonte was practicing full contact yesterday & looks like he will be ready to play this weekend vs Memphis.

Just hoping Lamonte can get back in last year's form. We will need that bench production if we want to seriously contend and push into the tourney.
