I know it may be unpopular, but can we all agree that the exterior of TBA is an eyesore?

It is terrible. Unfortunately I don't think there's much we could do about it without tearing the whole thing down.

UT had a hard-on for concrete in the '80s. I don't know what could be done about the exterior of TBA.

The schedule sets up pretty nicely to hang onto that #1 spot for a while too. It's CBB so you never know what's going to happen, but we'll be favored considerably in most of these games.

@ Vanderbilt
vs West Virginia
@ South Carolina
@ A&M
vs Missouri
vs Florida
vs South Carolina

Then the big Feb 16th game @ UK -- I walk out of the door in the morning and feel that cold arse air hit the beard and immediately smile knowing that it's basketball season & Prick has these boys rattled.

Also, some Alabama highlights

The highlight is that the game is over and we won. I don't think I care to relive any part of that abortion.

So me and a buddy are thinking about going to the UK game at TBA but have never had to buy tickets before to a basketball game, I know it’s late and they are gonna be high but yall got any suggestions? Any chance we’d be able to find some on game day for any reasonable price? (and by reasonable I mean less than $500).

My buddy found some lower levels for $1000 on stubhub which we won’t pay but he also found some in 321 higher up for like $190 which we would

It’s 321 row 20 or so, will those just be god awful? I don’t really care as long as they aren’t blocked by a column or something

What do yall think? Should we go ahead and scoop the 321s or try to find something a little better even if we have to pay up to $500?

ETA: as yall are aware, I’ve posted on the OT once or twice and budget isn’t nearly the issue for me as it is my buddy

TBA's construction was riddled with problems. At the time it was built, it was to be top flight -- one of the largest basketball arenas in the country -- but think about where it's located for a moment. Sinkholes instantly became an issue in the construction. Two different contractors had to be used (one to fix what the first had fricked up) and at least one worker fell to his death. It also became a political mess between the city and UT as well as with local businesses who were pissed that the entertainment tax the city issued was the highest in the country. (We're still the only state university that gets charged an entertainment tax).

We're lucky the project got finished as well as it did. The exterior is ugly but at least the inside is good. I do think they can redo the facade but the problem is it hasn't been too long since they spent 30 million renovating the inside.

It'd be nice if they could dress it up with some decorative brickwork or something.

I did some googling and some UT architecture student had basically draped a plastic ribbon around the outside. Pretty meh, but then I read that they planned to get plastic from all the bottles that drain out from the three creeks down there.

I guess the results were meh but the concept of using a renovation to actually impact the community in a positive way was pretty intriguing. We need more people thinking like that way and fewer playing West Knoxville "me first" bullshite.

I wouldn't pay $190 to sit in 321, but I get vertigo. But if thin air and actual nosebleeds don't bother you, have at it

Vuck Fandy

They haven't shown a holistic view of Memorial on TV yet but it sounds like there's a ton of VOLS in that bih

Is a poor house for poors. Considering how much tuition is a Vandy and how their alumni supposedly employ every other fanbase (per tRANT), one would think they could pull the donations and capital together to renovate that bih.

Their athletic facilities in general are just buns. There's no other way to put it. It's perplexing

I hope it perpetually stays that way though

Schofield needs to get going tonight. I feel like when he's going, our energy alone can win any game.
