He's a heel either way. Trolling UF and LSU to extend their coaching search and fall behind in recruiting is not a good guy move.

I don’t believe for a minute that he hasn’t made up his mind.

No, I don’t think he realized how terrible leaving an 11-1 team makes him look. So he will come up with some crocodile tears and take the first plane out of town

He still has to figure out the spin he needs to control the narrative. Thats it.

I do believe he's making up his mind about which yoga mats to bring to Baton Rouge.

I 100% agree. He knows, but is sticking to his "I don't talk about that shite during the season" schtick. I do think he's gonna bail on a playoff team, FWIW.

And that would be a total dick move.

He made his mind up 2 weeks ago to leave and is now realizing that he has to go through it.

Yep, he's gonna get crucified by the media, and that's what scares him the most. It is what it is. For folks that don't understand him, he's a narcissist, on the spectrum, and very much insecure. Great great head coach, but there's a "Lane Tax" that comes with him.

Y’all are the ones forcing him to do that. He would 100% coach this team through the season if y’all let him. We would let him, too.

So if Lane was leaving LSU to go to Ole Miss (I know, but just hypothetical), yall would let him use your playoff game as a commercial for Ole Miss football?

Why the hell is Ole Miss forcing him to make this decision and putting a Natty in jeopardy?! How stupid can yall be. Let him coach and try to win it all and let him walk, at least you can get a championship out of him before he bails. The fact yall are forcing him to make a decision is exactly why he will go to LSU. Idiots

Well it’s not exactly comparable because the only thing LSU is a stepping stone for is the NFL, but in a world where we were a third their job and had no championships in living memory I would want the best chance to win now, and figure out the future in the future.

Perhaps more importantly, the student athletes would deserve it, too.

How do you figure? Because if I was a fan of a school with no championships I would want to win one? Yeah, you got me. I’m full of it.

This whole narrative is twisted. He is not choosing to leave an 11-1 team before the playoffs. He would love to finish the season. It is Ole Miss forcing him out before the playoffs.
