LA has a lot people who live in poverty.
LA also has alot of extremely wealthy people in the state.
This idea of poor ol LSU and Loooziana is so funny. It always cracks me up when this board is amazed that LSU can swing some of the moves they make.

If not the highest, then very close. But, just like most grads from those poverty states, Tulane grads included in La., they don’t live there anymore.
That doesn’t mean that they don’t support their Alma Maters.
As an aside, one of LSU’s biggest donors grew up in Baton Rouge as an LSU fan, but never went there. He is a Harvard graduate - he’s a tech billionaire
