I agree it is 100% clear the risk/reward of scheduling difficult OOC games is simply not there.

I love that we are playing stronger OOC games like OSU, Michigan, and ND but if there is no difference at the end of the year is playing stronger OOC teams vs cupcakes then why continue?
I think is a pivotal moment for all of CFB and the CFP

Especially with a 9 game conference schedule, there is zero upside to scheduling big OOC games

A three loss team doesn’t deserve a spot. Never have, and never will. Too many two loss teams that win their games

12 more deserving than Texass? Yes, without a doubt!

I don’t think we’re a playoff this year, so let’s get past that point.
My point was on how the committee asks teams to schedule harder OOC games and if they will punish or reward teams for it.

I remember UGA getting left out. They have beaten the shite out of uYX every time they played.
Cry me a river you pussy.
If Bama can't win they're out also.
Maybe Bama and uTX can see whos 13th best if it comes to that.

Texas is not getting punished for playing OSU. They’re being punished for losing to OSU, UGA, and
FLORIDA!!!
All three of those losses were bad and they looked bad. The OSU and UF games were not as close as the score.
In fact, the Longhorns are lucky they don’t have 4 or 5 losses.

Everyone minus Indiana looks beatable though.
Indiana has ONE quality win. They beat Oregon in Eugene which is impressive. They struggled against Penn St and Iowa on the road. Non conference games against Old Dominion, Kennesaw St and Indiana St. Maryland, Wisconsin, Michigan St, Purdue and Illinois are not exactly murderer's row.
The are essentially a Bill Snyder coached Kansas St team with a better offense. Getting through four rounds of a playoff after playing a bunch of cupcakes will be their downfall.

think there are 12 teams that “belong”?
Sure. I can list 12 teams that belong more than Texas. And not a single one of them lost to Florida.

Did sark retire? That’s the only way we have a shot. He is good enough to occasionally win games like that but he isn’t capable of stringing 3-4 of those in a row to win it all.
We won’t be in the playoffs and shouldn’t be. This is on sark.
I will give him credit for one thing. 6-0 vs our rivals the last two years. I would have lost that bet.

It’s a long shot. Predictor has Texas at 11%.
You need Auburn to win and OSU to win. Bama and Michigan wins will sink you. You still may need B12 chaos as well.
