That was brilliant play calling there. I guess stoops is throwing in the towel already.

Real talk. What happened to Kentucky's oline play? You guys used to be assignment sound in the run game. Did the oline coach leave or has he lost his fastball?

Schlarman was our best OL coach and he passed of cancer mid-season in 2020. It’s been touch and go since then.

Our good coach died 5 years ago and we haven't had a good one since. The current one went to Bama while on a recruiting trip and they were terrible for 2 years and Saban let him go, and for some reason we hired him back.

I had forgot about that. You guys ran the ball on everyone when he was the coach. Im a little shocked that Stoops has had trouble replacing him.

Schlarman was an excellent coach.

As kywildcat said, he was a very good coach. Also a genuinely good guy and really instill that blue collar culture Stoops used to be known for.

Its a little more than that.

Schlarman wasn't a "complicated" coach. Just hat on a hat. He also had a run of about eight kids that could really play - including a good transfer from LSU.

And after that ? Just watch them. Hat on a hat is part of the problem. It hit rock bottom with Scangarello - a cat that thought he could run multiple zone-blocking schemes in one offense. You can't.

But even under Cohen - O-Line wasn't a thing.

Under this latest clown show ? They can't put hat on a hat. Protect the pocket inside-out. The very most basic shite taught in all the better high schools.

He was. Your interior online play punched well above the recruiting rankings and he did a great job of developing OTs.

Chantel divorced Mark and it’s been downhill ever since.

I really don't understand the fall off you've had this year. A bad season - ok, I can understand but this has been a trainwreck rather than a bad season.

Not true. When Kentucky really "popped" - under Schlarman - the LT was a transfer that played one year from LSU. Tackles in Pass Pro was never his thing.

Schlarman's thing was, indeed, mauling you inside tackle to tackle on the run. There were a couple years where we all wondered "why throw" ... when you had power backs and just ran and ran and ran some more.

I'd take that approach now, rather than the shite show currently on display.

In all seriousness, he got away from what got him 10 win seasons. Let the ego get too big and got away from those blue collar players who would out play you. Especially in the trenches.

It all fell to shite when Mark Stoops got a long-term contract. And business interests. And generally comfortable enough to not be hungry.

What you said. But we all ignore Mitch Barnhart on this. As if Mitch Barnhart's job wasn't to understand exactly how much leash to give Mark Stoops.

Fair enough. I thought Adjei, Young and Kinnard were pretty good players, but i only saw them play when Kentucky and Missouri played.
