We’re certainly inconsistent. We’re top 5 in the country in underclassmen snaps. Texas is loaded though. No shame in losing to a front 7 like that. Collin Simmons was being held every snap.

A&M ate the rat poison once again. Neither team is worthy of a playoff spot. A&M will get one because of their weak schedule but be waxed in the first round.

The Longhorns are solid, but you could put an * next to their best wins.

*Mateer hurt

*Vandy at home who might not even make it in.

*Aggies who looked to be playing a scrimmage for their passing offense

Beat a bad Florida team and you're in. The committee will have to jump through hoops.

They pretty much dominated in each of their Top10 wins. Who else dominated three playoff teams? If we’re not putting the best teams in what are we doing?

You have three losses. End of story

Wins over Aggie, OU, and Vandy are better than anyone ND had beaten

You have three losses, two of which are terrible losses. You went to overtime with the worst teams in the SEC. You simply don’t belong

They lost to Georgia and Ohio St... two top 4 teams. What am I missing about 2 terrible loses.

Florida loss was bad, but they are more deserving than ND

I actually agree that leaving them out would send a horrible message re scheduling.

Throw the OU game out. Mateer was just days days off surgury on his broken throwing hand. Should not of played. I think he threw 3 ints that game.

Final score vs Vandy: UT 37 Vandy 34 Total Yards that game: Texas - 425 Vandy - 425 That’s about as close of a win as you can have. If it were at Vandy, I think Texas would’ve lost.

This game was a blowout until the refs needed to interject themselves.

That’s football. But yes, Mateer was definitely hampered in that game by his recent surgery, and we did not get OU at full strength.

With NIL, I don’t believe there will be another Alabama multi year reign. Both Arch and our OL were learning this year, and made big improvements by season’s end.

If the CFP committee is supposed to pick the objectively best 12 teams at the very end of the season, I think Texas should be in. But Texas can’t lose 3 games, and expect to be in. The later season loss to Georgia was ugly, and Georgia looked like the most talented and best coached team.

I’ll be OK with missing the CFP tournament, but making a hard push for a solid run next year. We will have a more experienced OL next year, and I think Arch (who has a lot of upside when our OL can block for him and we have a running game) will return. I think our potential next year should allow our coaches to recruit the portal well to fill in some missing pieces.

t’s not like Ohio state blew them out. In addition, they could’ve scheduled a community college like the rest of the sec and nobody would question crap

No they couldn't have. That was their other FBS opponent. Now it didn't have to be Ohio st but it had to be an Fbs. You people don't pay attention.

Texas is in a similar spot as Ole Miss, Alabama, and South Carolina last year. They didn't get in, so Texas shouldn't either.
