I love it. Text book putting the hat on the ball and you cheerleaders can't stand it. Hopefully he'll make yall cry some more next week. Deal with it.

This is textbook targeting. The first thing that moves at contact is the QB's head.

No, you can’t see where it makes contact with from that angle and I believe he puts the helmet on the ball

Beautiful hit. Thanks for the replay.

There’s never been any consistency with targeting calls. Why act like this is something new?

I see you are conveniently ignoring the shot on Lovett in the end zone …of course you are.

Pre-NIL.
Pre-19th Amendment

I didn’t think it was targeting. I was surprised they didn’t take a look though.

King said in his post game interview the helmet hit the ball. He could be wrong though.

Do you see an angle that shows it absolutely is?

No it's not. You lower your shoulders to make a hit. Is he supposed to move his head 3ft to the right?

it is targeting...If the player lowers their head before making a tackle and makes forcible contact with the crown of the helmet

They certainly did. I thought they were about to call it, but the video didn’t show definitive proof of it.

Exactly. Refs weren’t calling that in this game. Tech got away with 2 far more obvious targets
