And, I want you to enjoy it. I'm not bitter about anything. I know we will be back.

I disagree, LSzu had probably the best team ever this year. They were incredible!

Tonight was an extremely hard task for that Clemson defense. Hard to defense Chase, Jefferson, Marshal, Moss, and Helaire combined with next level passing. Venables got them two championships against Alabama, titles I didn't think they could win.

Yeah a true sophomore Tua. If Tua was to stay in college for 5 years he'd be unstoppable. If you want to be like that we can. Tua never played bad college football. Never.

That loss was clearly due to Saban having arguably the worst DB since Hookfin at LSU and an injury depleted defensive line.

Jesus man, just own it. Y’all got worked in that game. Bama still owns LSU all time record, but this is LSU’s year. Geaux Tigers!

re: Brent Venables is Way Overhyped
no he isn't.

LSU just has so many weapons. From the TE to the QB they don't have any weak links. I have never seen a more explosive O in my lifetime. Clemson defended LSU well early in the game. LSU figured out how to attack them and it was over from there.

Then why hasn't he been offered a head coach or NFL DC job?

You can't be serious?

LINK

quote:

Another year of schools reaching out to Brent Venables to try to lure him away from Clemson to take a head coaching job. Another year that it appears the Tigers’ defensive coordinator will stay put.

It has become almost a tradition at this time each year that arguably the top assistant coach in the country is sought after to lead his own program.

Bruce Feldman of The Athletic reported last week that Venables has been pursued by at least two schools for head coaching jobs, and Venables confirmed that he spoke with Texas Tech AD Kirby Hocutt when the Red Raiders job was vacant. Still, there are no signs that Venables will be leaving Clemson any time soon.

........and this may be the reason he isn't leaving any time soon.

LINK

quote:

Venables, a Kansas State alumnus and former defensive coordinator at Kansas State and Oklahoma, is in his eighth season at Clemson. He has one son, Jake, on the team and another, Tyler, who has committed to the Tigers for next year.
