He has a decent offer list for a rising Jr. He certainly plays in a good program. It seems every year that HS is putting out D1 talent.

Is that a Stephenson High product? Their coaches are the best recruiters in the state but worst at actually coaching kids up.

Yes.

I don't know, they had Mike Davis 2 years ago, and he was a top 10 RB in the nation.
I think they've had around 16 guys go D1 in the past 3 years. That's pretty solid.

RB is more of a natural ability-dependent position.

No doubt they have awesome talent. Stephenson just doesn't win at a level you would expect with all those D1 kids

Stephenson had like a dozen kids sign D1 schollies two classes ago. More maybe, I seem to remember it might have been like 14.
It's very tough to build chemistry the way they recruit big talent to their program, late in the process, over there.

Right on, I was thinking they had a lot, so I wanted to know what the results are/were.
For Stephenson HS, GA:
2014 - 2 commits to D1 so far and another 3 possible.
2013 - 3 D1's
2012 - 10 D1's
2011 - 8 D1's
2010 - 7 D1's
So that's 28 over the past 4 years that signed with D1 schools, which is very impressive, even for a 5A size team.

It should be considering they recruit kids to their school and can't coach them to win anything. And Mike Davis would have been a DI back if he had gone to play for an 0-10 GISA team.

How many of those in 2012 signed with SCAR? Davis and Nick St Germain? Or was there three? I can't remember.
I don't know why I was thinking there were more than ten ... some of them must have ended-up either not qualifying or going to DIa or DII or something?

They had a defense one year with Perry Riley, Marcus Ball, Jermaine Cunningham, and Kelvin Sheppard. I remember looking at the scores of their games and they gave up like 40 points a few times.
3 of those guys are in the NFL now.
It does seem like every school in the southeast is required to have at least one player from Stone Mountain on their team. They got players everywhere.

LSU signed Perry Riley and Kelvin Sheppard out of there the same year a bit back. Both ended up being underrated prospects and good SEC LBs.

Went to East Paulding and McEachern.

Also Carlos Hood, K Marcus, K Fleetwood.
ETA for Ali Groves from last year (he was their QB, but we're bringing him in as a CB, like we did with Gilmore.)

Thank you. It was Darius English who went to school with Nick St Germain in that 2012 class.
Carlos Hood and Kyle Fleetwood were the other two, along with Mike Davis, that we took out of Stephenson in 2012.
All five of those guys are going to be big time contributors this year - all of them redshirting last year except Davis.
