I’m sure my fellow LSU fans will downvote me to oblivion, but I just don’t get taking TJ Finley. His high school game performance is continually uninspiring, but I guess he does decent in camp settings.

Finley's coach has no idea how to coach a spread offense. He was a veer guy for decades before Finley came along and installed a spread offense for him. He just kind of lets him do whatever and there's no real plan seemingly. I do believe people mentioned last game Finley had like 6-7 drops by receivers so that contributed to the low completion % but he played well then. The first game he really struggled, under a lot of pressure all game.

No doubt Finley is a multi-year project once he hits college, but he has all the tools you want.

Whoever Ethan Garbers is apparently throwing the hell out of some TDs. UGA qb committ has a crazy pick to TD ratio. Ive never watched an elite HS qb in real life but i just figured they absolutely dominated the game. These stats kinda suprise me.

Really excited about Anthony Richardson’s progression as a passer. Plays on a terrible high school team, but he’s really put in a lot of work.

He’s the perfect fit for Mullen’s offense. Criminally underrated, still, in my opinion.

Id scrap both LSU QBs and look for a transfer. 2021 class has better QBs for LSU.

Great info here. Bryce Young will be a stud at Bama. Looks like LSU has its next Brandon Harris.

Carson Beck is one of 2 returning starters off a state championship team in Florida's highest classification.
The team around him has been so bad the HC called them out publicly.

He'll be fine later in the season, although his stats won't reflect it.

Some of those stats are surprisingly rough. Was concerned that Morris has more INTs than TDs but he does have the most rushing TDs and one of the higher completion percentages I guess.

They are 2-1 on the season, not 0-3.

ETA: They won their first game, 28-12, and their second game, 32-13. They got their asses kicked on Friday night, 32-7. Is that what is being considered as "so bad" nowadays?

Is it just me or does it seem like the overall QB talent in this class is down?

From film and stats, Bryce Young, DJ Uiagalelei, Richardson, Gabers have looked very good so far

How does King throw 4 ints all of last year then throws 5 in like 3 games?

The kid going to Clemson isn't part of that list. Considered the top QB recruit, but I agree it seems like a down year.

I think he called out their attitude and effort.

You do realize we have other QB’s?
It’s not like Finley will come in and play QB for 4 years.
Add and few pounds and he can play OL

The teams they beat are winless so maybe it is bad. We won't know much until a few more games into the season.

Robby Ashford was having a good year prior to the injury. Not sure why his rushing stats aren't on there but he had a few long TD runs. Nice fit for Rich Rod's offense.
