First let me say that I am in the thinking that he is just drumming up drama for his decision to OM and it is working because I saw on ESPN earlier they were flashing his final two on the bottom of the screen. I also know he was recruiting for yall at the AA game.

My question is do you think it is hurting any that he is not committed to yall yet? We have had some reports that our staff has made some serious inroads with his mom and that the longer this goes the better for us especially if he visits.

I think he is OM all the way and will not believe otherwise until the ink dries but I thought I should ask if yall were hearing anything like this.

I haven't. I just don't see him going anywhere else, but you never know I guess. I feel like he is pretty solid to OM though, almost as much as Treadwell...

No he's just waiting. Why not take visits? He's the Number 1 recruit.

I think that at any given time when a recruit hasn't committed to his "leader" it hurts, and leaves the door open.

But at the same time a verbal commitment is just that. It's just what he feels verbally. Even if he verbally commits to ole miss what's stopping LSU from still trying?

My biggest thing is I feel like some of the other recruits are waiting on RN to committ before they do.

But hey what the hell do I know lol

Let me tell you that LSU is a threat because they know how to show someone a good time and RN clearly can fall for a pitch because look at Clemson. However, FYI he has been recruiting others to Ole Miss for a while now. If I were LSU I would not want him near my other recruits cause he may swing them our way. Most all big-time recruits wait until NSD.

Dude he is going somewhere, the question is where. I think you mean he is not going anywhere other than Oxford.

Figured I would drop it here. What does Ole Miss think about Carl Lawson Sr's comments that distance could be a factor and Ole Miss could be too far away? I mean that is the implication but I don't know if they mean 3-4 hour distance or USCw distance

Yeah, but I also think it's good for him to wait and take his visits. I think that if he were committed now it would make it more difficult to hang on to him. I can't explain it because it only makes sense in my head.

He's ours to lose, no doubt.

It's definitely concerning. I can't blame a player and family for wanting to be close, so if that keeps OM out of the loop then oh well, so be it.

I think whatever decision Lawson makes will be what's best for him and his family, and I appreciate that a lot. I'd obviously love to have him on our football team, but he's gotta do what he's gotta do.

I always think it is amazing when anyone from FL picks Ole Miss with offers to FL FSU. But it is like USM to me in Hburg. I wanted to get away. Plus kids from FL think FL is a bad seen for drugs and trouble and that is where Ole Miss being a rural area gives them the belief that it is a quiet little town and a safer environment.

Lawson and Barber are very close friends. That has to help with the distance issue. Both families always know there is someone there who really is "family".

I think he's all OM's but I don't understand why he doesn't just commit now, he can still take visits. I hate it when recruits bullsh!t around, be a man and make your dang decision. Dude seems like a drama queen.
