The more and more I hear the more I think Clemson is going to snag Nkemdiche. They just got a verbal from his friend Wayne Gallman and lead for his very good friend David Kamara. We all know how much success Dabo has had stealing some big fish from out of state. Could he really take someone from UGA's backyard that LSU and Alabama are all over?

Also, why do people think he's playing the game and will eventually decide on Alabama? Everything I've heard says LSU-Clemson battle with Bama third.

His own coach said recently that he basically has a new favorite everytime he returns from a visit. Basically, he's very subject to the "visit high".

The reason most people believe that he still winds up at Bama is because he has the longest relationship with their coaches, has visited their campus the most times, and has been frequently spotted wearing Bama clothes over the last 2 years. And his high school coach played at Bama.

Not what I've heard. According to folks around Grayson it is Bama, LSU, UGA in varying order depending on who you ask. No mention of Clemson

Really? Clemson? I would think Ole Miss before Clemson. Do you really think his friends influence him that much? This was part of his plan. He wanted to make sure his friends got offers as well.

The only thing that would make me think Clemson is a player in all this is that his gf is said to favor them. Everybody who follows recruiting now knows this is a very important factor.

Clemson has a long line of producing top-notch DEs so they can sell that. Coach Conn, Grayson's head coach, is also somewhat similar to Dabo in mannerism, attitude, etc so there's a comfort level with these recruits.

Also, we all know Dabo could ice to an Eskimo so I'd never count them out.

O and he's not going to UGA.

I still laugh about West Virginia hanging 70 on them

Yea that'll def make it tough for them to get someone like Nkemdiche, but Gallman and Kamar being on board would be huge. They also stole Brent Venables from Oklahoma who is an absolute ace recruiter and apparently he and Dabo are personally recruiting Nkemdiche. This is a monster heavyweight recruiting battle. Dabo/Venables vs. Saban vs. Miles is insane. All of those guys are monster closers.

Just my opinion, but an elite guy like RN needs to be in the SEC, but I would rather him choose Clemson over Bama.

Also, from everything I've read on multiple insider sites, I would say that LSU still holds a slight lead over the other schools. That is, until he visits another school. He seems to get very excited after all his visits.

Oh and I agree that UGA is not player in his recruitment and never will be. He didn't even mention them in the latest article, and that says a lot.

I know I have been laughed at before for saying this, but many of the people in the Gwinnett school system who know the family say that Coach Conn is just waiting for an opening to jump to some posiiton on the CU staff...

If he does, then it would not surprise me to see CU be in play. However, that would mean there would need to be turnover on the CU staff in the next 10 months...who knows if that will happen, and if it does if it will be piecemeal or if Dabo will be gone as well.

I could see it happening, but it would take a cataclysmic disaster for Dabo to be gone. It's pretty funny, I lived in SC for a while so I keep-up with Clemson and still have many friends who are huge fans. There's probably not a coach in America who is more loved and scorned by his fanbase. It's Miles at LSU times a million. Clemson fans either ADORE or LOATHE Swinney. There is no in between.

But yea he's won the division twice in three years and won them their first ACC in like twenty years. It'd take an act of God for him to get fired.

There are two dead weight coaches I could see getting nudged out, especially if it means getting Nkemdiche and an in into one of the hottest talent bases in America. Gwinenett is like the 15th largest school district in America and is ALWAYS loaded with talent.

Word is she's going to Alabama, but I don't expect this to be a Landon Collins situation. Could help if it was truly 50-50 between two schools in the end, but I wouldn't worry about it much.

Family trumps all, he ends up at Ole Miss... Or wherever he happens to visit last

Dabo will pull a Blindside and offer Conn an assistant job. Clemson is absolutely in the mix. His top 4 are Bama, Clemson, LSU, with the Dawgs bringing up the rear.
