If I'm not mistaken, that was Spears' and Jackson's weights.

This thread is interesting
Let me clear up a few misconceptions:
1. LSU is a player in this without a doubt, but Bama is still the heavy heavy leader
2. At Bama he will be asked to play the hybrid DL position very similar to Dareus and what you will see Lamichael Fanning play this year
3. There is already draft buzz for Jesse Williams, and sorry to call out Memphis, you my homie, but he will be a top 10 pick, maybe top 5
4. He might not WANT to gain weight, but like was mentioned, he has cramp issues now and NEEDS weight, and could still play DE in the 4 man frontand be the best DL LSU or Bama has ever seen, IMHO he's better than Clowney, much higher football IQ, more athletic

Tyson Jackson played DE at LSU at 6'5 290. This kid has more speed than Tyson did. He can get up to 280-290 and still play outside at LSU if he's as advertised. You cant put someone with his speed inside, it's too wasteful. U have to get your moneys worth out of his athleticism and you cant it with him playing DT.
Bingo. He's a DE at LSU.

Not right now you aren't. If you were such a leader he wouldn't have named us leader, his dad say he named us leader, and have his HS coach in scramble mode.

K. He's a DE at LSU. End of story.

No need to apologize. I just don't see it after the meh year he had.

Don't explain to us about cramp issues. We spent 3 years telling everyone about Peterson's. His body was similar. We found the solution.

If Jessie Williams were a projected top 5 or top 10 pick, he would have left this year. He is draft eligible, and one of the few decent qualities of your deity Nick Saban is that he encourages his players to go pro if they are first rounders. Your comments are ASININE.
You are the biggest homer on this board, buccwild. You keep trying to rag on an LSU lineman who actually IS a top 15 pick and build up your boy who will be playing college ball. LSU's guy is a PRO, your guy is an amateur - and one that was not even one of your big impact players last year.

Ok whatever Brockers is so overrated
So here is the reasoning and the facts behind why Jesse Williams will be a high 1st rd pick next year, 1st of all he said he was coming back before any agents or anyone could get to him and convince him otherwise, second before the NFL Combine who had Dontari Poe from Memphis as even a 3rd rd pick? No one, he had 1 sack last year, after the combine he is projected as a top 10 - 15 pick, because of his Combine performance, even unthroned your beloved Brockers as the top DT in the draft to most, ok at Bama's 1st Pro Day a few underclassmen weighed, ran drills and 40s to get NFL scouts excited about next year, he was measured a little over 6'3, 328 I believe, and his 40 times were 4.80 and 4.76 those are INSANE then earlier in the week Charles Power BOL staffer had a staff member tell him he benches 225 more than 50 reps again INSANE. So there is now tremendous buzz around him for next year, and if he has a similar combine performance yes he will be top 10 maybe top 5 pick without a doubt.
And regarding performance, he did damn well considering his background of not playing organized American football very long, yet he was too athletic at his size to really be benched with little to no knowledge of a playbook as well, he was very raw, but still did a damn fine job, at times unblockable

Let me get this straight
You think Brockers measuring in at 6'7 300+ lbs is hurting his stock? He sky rocked up boards due to the combine.
Also mr. Powers didn't see him do the reps so you're just going by what someone told him he could do?
I'm saying 2nd-3rd pick
From LSU's proday

Matt Miller ? @nfldraftscout Michael Brockers has 35" long arms. 21 reps is fine with that wingspan

It's hard for me to believe Jesse Williams benched 225 50 times. That's crazy.

As of this moment, Jesse Williams = Al Woods.
He may very well develop into a first round pick after this year. The potential is certainly there. If he were the top 5-top 10 lock that you are convinced, he'd be gone to the NFL. I am sitting here and can't help but laugh at your assertion that the only reason he didn't go pro is that "agents didn't get to him." Agents do not lose sight of starting defensive linemen from Alabama - if Williams were the top 5 pick you think he is, someone would've been in his ear.
If Brockers had a crimson uni you'd be all over his jock, because you're not capable of seeing things without a heavy bias. And as someone who never wanted to admit Julio Jones was any good, I get that.
And excuse me while I go tell NFL GM's that buccwildbama thinks Brockers is overrated - if they don't get the memo soon someone is going to accidentally pick him in the first round.

It was 35 the first time I heard Pro Day reports.

This is the biggest advantage LSU has. If he has the speed and athleticism we all believe. He is going to be better off in a 4-3 DE putting pressure on QB. The NFL pays these guys almost twice that of interior lineman.

Looks like LSU fans will be getting their hearts ripped out by Sabana on signing day for a 2nd straight year.

why? Ya'll taking 2nd tier La. wide receivers and possibly closing on a prospect who was thought to be a heavy bama lean to begin with...If LSU pulls RN it is gravy, not expected.

Nope. Young man needs to go where he feels fits him the best. If its LSU then great. Bama still does not get everyone it wants. Wish him well no matter who he plays for.

No intercepting passes barely in bounds so it has to go replay and using that time to recoup.
