Agree with all of that. Do you think Holloway can be a slot type guy for us? Or will he just be the kick return specialist? I hope one of those that step up is Morrow. He's got the perfect size to be that big possession wide-out we need on the outside.

I've heard that Holloway looked good in the slot in bowl practices, but overall I don't pretend to know...

I agree on Morrow -- and Christy, Austin, and Hammond for that matter...

My MS grad dad has high hopes for Dak as well, but I don't think his passing is even close to Russell's..of course everything else is better though.

His passing ability wont matter if he's on his back...

I don't get the Dak love. Was he highly regarded out of high school?

EE'd right when he was blowing up in recruiting. LSU gave him a committable about 2 weeks before he enrolled at MSU. He was as highly regarded as any 3* you'll see.

He was our first choice for QB that year -- we didn't pursue anyone else. That is the only time that we can say that in Mullen's career here prior to this year -- and we are still pursuing because of the baseball issue.

I figure he'll be good in Mullen's offense. Hell, we couldn't do anything about Relf.

It's not. Nor does it have to be for him to be successful. I will say -- his passing is as good as Russell was at the same point in their careers. It's still much, much better than Relf ever was. The threat to run opens up the pass for dual threat guys. No threat to run(Russell) without receivers that can consistently get open = shot down against good defenses. That's what happened this year.

Dak wasn't stopped all season in the run game. His 3rd down conversion rate was 3x Russells.

Mainly because Dak only came in on 3rd and short.

I think his arm is great! He is not as accurate as TR, but he can be a 60% guy. He's faster than Relf isn't he?

In Mullen's offense, I would take "run a bitch over" over speed

TR completed less than 60% of his passes...

He is big enough to put a shoulder in a defender as well as fast enough to leave em in his dust. I'm excited to see what he can do with Mullen's offense. His arm isn't as strong nor is he as accurate as TR but he is a much more capable passer than Relf ever was.

Do you know how many times Perkins got stood up on 3rd and short with Russell at QB?

On 3rd and 2 or less, Prescott was something like 10 of 11 on the year... On 4th down, I'm pretty sure he was perfect until the dropped pass in the Egg Bowl...

You still suck. Also, you misspelled Tyrone Nix.
