Because he is not better than RN right now?
exactly
Jones has the higher ceiling- Kimdeechy more likely to have a bigger impact as a Freshman
It really shows that Jones went from 16th to #2 after that week as to just how good he is. That's a helluva jump at the top- you never see that

That's not even close to consensus. A few opinions don't mean shite.
You have two players. #1 and #2 players in the country. Same position. One is polished. One is not. Which one probably has the higher ceiling? Stop acting like it's absurd.

Also if everyone agrees Chris Jones is extremely raw but has unlimited potential which is why he is their #2 player, why not just make him #1 then if the potential is higher than RN?
Because RN is better now, and probably will be for at least the next year. Jones'll need at least another year to catch up technique-wise, if not two. He's played something like 20 games of football in his life and only started halfway through last season.

Find me 1 objective source in the know that says Jones will be better at the college level than RN and you can pick my sig quote until signing day.

I'd say the highest rated player to come out of MS in the Internet recruiting era is either Tony Conner or Chris Jones. 247 is the only recruiting service that has Jones higher than Conner but I wouldn't argue against you that Jones should be ranked higer.
As for your consensus they said he "may, might" have a higher ceiling.

Nkemdiche is not as "polished" as y'all are making out. He's still an 18 year old kid. Both players have room to grow. This tit for tat shite is getting old. They're both studs.

Just because 1 is polished and 1 is raw doesn't automatically mean the raw one will be better than the polished one when he is polished. Quit acting like that is fact.
I only got involved because engine said all recruiting outlets were saying CJ was going to be better than RN. I think that is ridiculous and he still hasn't shown anyone of worth saying that.

So a guy that has played 20 something games is better right now than Carl Lawson and some of those guys? I'm not talking about potential I'm talking about right now.

ESPN, Rivals, Scout and 24/7 take potential into account. That is why he has made so many jumps. But even with his potential he is still behind RN. There is nothing you can say to argue that.

I said it was nearly a consensus that he has a higher ceiling -- which it is.

So Jones is basically a big lump of coal from Sierra Leone. He still needs to be in the right hands (leonardo decaprio aka freeze) or he'll end up in some African rebel camp and virtually useless (Starkville).

You are trying to say almost everyone says Cj has a higher ceiling than RN. Until you show someone actually saying that you look like an idiot. To prove your point you will have to show someone from ESPN, Scout, Rivals and 24/7 all saying that. So far you have shown 0. Either prove your point or admit your wrong.

Who has argued it?
Potential means jack shite until it's achieved. A ceiling = how good a player CAN be... not necessarily how good they WILL be. All I said was that it has been widely reported by many national recruiting writers that they believe Jones has the highest ceiling of anyone in this class.
Why weren't you fools arguing this back during the UA game when all this was being reported? It's hard as shite to go back and find all the blurbs that said it. Ever try going back 2 weeks on Keith Niebuhr's timeline on twitter? It's a pain in the arse, and I'm not even sure if he's one of the ones that said it -- or whether it was said there or on the 24/7 blue board.
One thing is certain -- no national media member one has argued against that point.

I already showed you 2 -- one from 24/7 and one from ESPN.

Neither said anything about a higher ceiling or being better at the D1 level. Try again

He finished at #24 on Scout. A 5* player. That's more in line to where I would have him rated. He's raw. You just cant ignore that and saw he'll be better than all of these guys who already have a jump on him in technique and level of competition faced.

Why are OM fans arguing like RN is committed to them?
