Bama Recruiting
I'm asking this question with no hidden agenda, but more from a curiosity standpoint. I'm used to seeing Bama always at the top or near the top in the recruiting rankings. I know it's early and you all always close strong, but is this an abnormally slow year for you? If you look at 247 and see which teams are landing players or CB's, Bama is uncharacteristically absent. It would interesting to get your thoughts.

re: Bama Recruiting
The days of Bama dominating recruiting are over. Even Bama fans will tell you that.

I mean , I don’t expect 8 or 9 straight years with the #1 class or anything , but Bama is not going anywhere

I think that is exactly what he meant. Being #1 for 9 straight years is dominating. Moving forward is bama will be top 5 with the being #1 here and there.

Yea no where near what they were. Kirby leaving has really hurt them.

re: Bama Recruiting
I don’t see Bama leading with many top 100 recruits. We’ll see.

re: Bama Recruiting
Alabama has had three #1 classes since he left. The others were #5 and #2.

I know Bama was leading for Brian Thomas Jr. for quite awhile but now that coach O has put Kevin Faulk recruiting him there has been total 180, he is now a strong LSU lean. Before Coach O.came here Saban would have landed this kid. There are plenty othersBama will land though and finish top 5. Good luck guys.

So, in other words, not as dominant? The results speak for themselves. I never said Bama’s recruiting was going to suck. I said that their dominance in recruiting was over. You cannot pencil them in automatically anymore.

Yah. Cause pretty much what they did will be almost impossible to replicate, I.e. getting pretty much whoever they wanted for a 10-year consecutive period. There is just way too much competition now.

re: Bama Recruiting
Agree. Bama will always sign solid classes, but it may be difficult for them to finish in the top 5 this year with what's going on around country and in the SEC. I think UGA, Ohio State, Clemson, and LSU will fall somewhere in the top 5. Throw in Oregon, USC, UNC and some of the conference teams that are doing well and it could make for a very interesting top 10.
