Painting a Bulldog on the top of your head seems pretty tame compared to some of these.

Like I said in other thread, he failed 4 consecutive THC test, O suspended him last 3 games lat year and was gonna sit first three this year. Apparently Kirby will turn blind eye, which I actually agree with, ridiculous our compliance dept. cost us many great players. That’s why he quit, we tried everything to get suspensionlifted, but compliance wouldn’t budge. Kid was pure cancer in locker room, hopefully he changes his lifestyle, he is unbelievably talented, just lacks maturity. I know for fact he vaped THC daily hope Kirby can straighten him up . Georgia my favorite team since I was a kid . Y’all are loaded this year. I’ve put 200 on y’all to wn Natty. Geaux Dogs

We've had tons leave for a lot of reasons. Some because they were stuck behind other players, some because they couldn't stay out of trouble.
The ones you named barely scratches the surfaces.

Is that LSU's current drug test policy? 4 failed tests and a 7 game suspension? Everyone across the SEC has different policies so I'm genuinely curious.

LSUs policy is really stupid. I THINK it’s the following
1 failed test - 1 game
2 failed tests - 3 games
3 failed tests - 6 games
4 failed tests - 9 games
5 failed tests - season
It’s something like that, and they’re obviously more lenient on certain players (tyrann Matthieu for example failed 10+, was suspended for 1 game then got kicked off the team)
ETA: the really stupid part is they test them sometimes on the Friday before the game without notice..... like the only reason behind that is to “catch” players. LSU will test football players weekly (literally) and I don’t get it. They don’t even test for weed in the NFL, NBA, or MLB anymore.
The NCAA does one test per year and it’s a one panel test, meaning it’s only testing for one drug and from what I was told by a friend of mine who was an athlete at LSU, it was usually for something more extreme like PCP or barbiturates, because the NCAA believe it or not doesn’t really want to suspend kids for doing drugs. Fulton for example was suspended for cheating his drug test, because he thought he was being tested for weed but it was a steroid test. He would have passed the steroid test.
Until LSU finally cleans out the compliance department that seemingly targets football players at a disproportionate rate (vast majority of athletes smoke weed and the football players seem to be the only ones actually getting in trouble), this stuff will continue to happen.
1 failed test - 1 game
2 failed tests - 3 games
3 failed tests - 6 games
4 failed tests - 9 games
5 failed tests - season

Not yet, not officially. But it’s going to happen soon; ACC already changed theirs and it would put the conference in a disadvantaged position in recruiting to not do the same

I suspect the Matthieu thing caused a shift in the policy. And, then when you add that ocurred under Les Miles, that says something. We are now finding out that Les Miles wasn't what we all thought he was. So, I get that LSU, in an effort to correct some past mistakes might have changed some policies. It was actually a very smart move. Problem is sometimes when correction done it turns into over correction. (Guess on my part)
I have no problem with LSU. I grew up an LSU fan. My problem is how some LSU fans (and fans of other teams) react when a player transfers. Yes. Georgia fans are just as guilty and maybe even more so. There are just a ton more LSU fans on here and they are more vocal.

I had tons of friends who were at Uhigh with his son and EVERYONE over there knew he had a secret appartment where he would get with other girls lol. I just think being so stringy on weed is dumb. Obviously things were a little different in 2012, but it will be recreationally legal nationwide within the next few years if I had to guess. It's already decriminalized in LA.

Then, LSU did everything they could to help him out and welcome him back with open arms and he seemed to lead the school on. It is what it is at this point. The portal isn't going to change any time soon, so there's no point in getting really bent out of shape about it. LSU will actually get some major benefit from the portal this year at LB and DB, just as we did last year at LB and the 2 years before that at QB.

That would be the toughest policy in the SEC by far. UGA and UK had the toughest for a long time.

I hope so. Only time will tell. He has such great talent you don't want to see opportunities wasted. If he can come here and get straightened out he can do great things in the pros. If he struggles over the next year or two it could cost him his future.
