Anyone catch Mack Brown on ESPNU minutes ago?

Pretty pathetic, said other classes on other teams look better artificially only because they sign kids they will send to JUCO and over sign (was taking a jab at SEC clearly).
The real kicker, Texas just over signed, they have 86 scholarship players with their 15 signees.

I heard him. Right now, ESPN is actually propping Texas up - they aren't accomplishing anything for anyone to be discussing them.

My cousin goes to UT and he whines and shite about their program. I hate Texas because I have family from there, it's overrated. Also a douche roommate at one point from Texas. Also they beat Ole Miss bad. Also I hate them. Also also.

Maybe he should try to be a little more informed on what's really going on before he comments.
He really sounds like an idiot, but his UT fans will lap it up and say the SEC is dirty and Texas is clean and there is nothing that will change their minds.
Regardless of the fact that all their main recruiters are former SEC coaches that they used to say were dirty recruiters.

Actually seems like every Texas fan I know of is tired of him and just wants him gone. It was clear as day he was really sad and making bad excuses. He had a bad day.

Mack is right. Let's wait until August and see who actually enrolls.

F*ck Mack Brown. That's all I got.
(if we are over the 85 it's temporary, we have a few guys who will quit before spring ball because they like being seen as UT football players more than they like working out and actually contributing to the team. In all reality, we'll go into fall at 80 or so and will give some walk-ons 1 year schollies. F*ckin waste)

Happens at every school, not everyone oversigns but Mack Brown did by 1 today and still said others have better classes on paper because of it

A&M actually didn't send an LOI to the 5* that is going to JUCO - so I have no idea what he is talking about. Schools like OM and Auburn have a much better chance at getting the borderline kids in.
So he's just butthurt

Every school has these guys, but for some reason in the SEC it's called 'processing' them when they move on.

where are you seeing that it's over by 1? when I count I'm getting less than 85 but I could be wrong.

Mack is in panic mode. He is all about the spin, always has been. Hard to spin the dumpster fire in Austin right now though.
The truth is that most of his really desired recruits decommitted and flipped elsewhere. Robinson, RSJ, Hall, etc. They still got a few quality players but haven't added anyone of note in almost a year while losing all the big gems in their class outside of maybe Perkins (big OL). They are riding off of a bunch of guys that were rated high early (mainly because they got Texas offers) that committed early, otherwise their class would be a complete disaster.
Worse than that though is how badly Mack and Texas have been rejected by recruits. Both of the WR's that decommitted from A&M for fear of competition were recruited by Texas and both laughed at them. Texas apparently made a hard run at Kenny Hill when he wavered at the end and he blew them off. They lost a middle of the road DL prospect here at the end to freaking Baylor when they have NO DL recruits.
The talent level at Texas is dropping fast and the coaching was never very good to begin with. Texas won in the '00s because it had the Jimmies and the Joes not the X's and the O's. The only thing that can save them is the rest of the Big 12 is pretty pathetic as well recruiting wise though I might take TCU or Baylor's class above Texas (how ridiculous is that?)
The 85 rule is also nearly irrelevant at this stage. Kids transfer, take med harships, drop out, etc. You can always count on attrition. If nothing else you always have a few kids at the back of the roster who are never going to see the field and are willing to work something out so they don't have to go through all of the work to stay on the football team when they barely even get snaps in practice. Unless a team is sitting on 100 players with 15 to dropoff by the Fall it's really not a big deal.

Gotta love ESPN's inflated ranking of the Longhorn recruiting class (#15 when every respected recruiting service has them in the mid-20's), and then interviewing ol' butterteeth about it.
It is unbelievable to watch how biased ESPN is in protecting that bad LHN investment.

I'm in Austin. One of my colleagues is a rabid UT guy. He told me yesterday he's so sick of Brown, he hopes Ole Miss beats UT this September, since that might push Brown out the door.

I would hope OM can beat Texas this year - if they don't, I'm going to have to add a few losses to their SEC schedule

That's what a few Texas fans told me, so IDK if true or not, didn't think they would lie.
