sounds like TiM really wishes some of Bama's RB 'croots would go to Auburn.
I want Bama to sign ALL of THEM this year. All 4.
Then for AU to sign Bo S next year. We are not even recruiting any of the RBs bama is after this year. None. Zero.
Next year we are. So by all means, PLEASE sign all 4 and maybe a 5th this year. Then we will use that against bama for the guy we really want next year

uphill battle. he's already committed to Bama and he lives in Tuscaloosa. im not sure if he will be a RB in college.

wasnt AU trying to score a visit from Tenpenny last week? why would they not go after the two RBs from Georgia?

I think he is probably all Bama. Bama certainly leads for him.
Course I hope that changes and he gives AU a serious look next year. All the backs bama is signing this year can only help that.

Not that I am aware of, but we have never even been a consideration for him so it doesn't matter.
We are looking to get Ford at this point as our top RB priority and we look to be in very good shape.

Ford should be a good back, wherever he ends up.
Is Malzahn looking for one back that can carry the load and do it all or is he looking for a running back by committee with several guys who can do different things?

Gotta be by committe these days. OMAC/Dyer style. But it all really depends on your personell and AU needs to sign Ford for sure and maybe Folston as well this year. We are not in great shape at RB at the moment.

He has a lot of downhill runs between the tackles, but also runs a lot of sweeps and end arounds with the speed backs. So I am guessing he wants at least two that touch the ball a good bit and another one that gets some quality reps as well.

Your a idiot then. Auburn is the only school that doesnt start there best RB.
just say it out loud... YOU ARE = you're; your = possessive
Example: YOUR grammar sucks.
Use "an" before words that start with vowels.
So before you even got to call someone an idiot, you made 2 idiotic mistakes.
Their=possessive; They're=they are;there=location or use with the verb BE

Ah, yes, the ole "you aren't good enough to get PT at Bama, but you are good enough to get it here". We've become all too familiar with this pitch against Bama the past several years. It clearly works, too. Bama is only going to sign a minimum of 3 of the top 10 RBs in the country this year.

Take off your stupid looking houndstooth hat (or whatever the frick it is) for a moment and attempt to apply some common sense.
If one school is loaded to the gills at a given position, it doesn't make as much sense to go there.
Your statement is asinine and reeks of gump stupidity with the

Have never worn houndstooth a day in my life and likely never will.

Depends on a number of factors:
1) the position
2) do their guys leave early at said position (last FOUR running backs from Bama have)
3) do they play a heavy rotation at said position
4) do they put players from said position into the NFL
5) am I only going to college to play football, or are there other factors in my decision
Now, you see, once your Orange and Blue glasses are off and you aren't looking at this as purely a football decision, but rather a life decision, you see there is more to it than depth chart.
As for the
quote:that has been the Alabama talking points in response to depth chart pitches for years. I've personally heard Saban say that using depth chart against Bama is, essentially, saying exactly what I've quoted. When a recruit tells a Bama coach "well so and so said that you guys have like 4 players at my position on the depth chart and they need me right away", the Bama staff always goes back to the response above (which is an unintended slight against the player by the school negatively recruiting him), and they follow that up with a reminder that Bama plays FR. Ingram - 700+ yards as a FR (with a JR and SR "ahead of him" on depth chart). Trent - 700+ yards as a FR (with Ingram winning the Heisman). Yeldon - 1,000+ yards as a FR (with a RJR, JR, and RFR ahead of him on depth chart when he got to campus).

^^The guy above nailed it. Let's also not forget Lacy got a lot of PT as a redshirt freshman in 2010 even with Ingram and Richardson playing ahead of him.
