That was expected with us taking Key. A guy that posts on bamamag basically said that Sina and his father wanted guaranteed minutes his first year and our staff couldn't promise that.

How could they not promise that? He has to be better than Retin.

His shooting ability alone should get him PT. I think Grant thinks that our bball program is our fooball program.

Releford will have the majority of the minutes and Retin really came on at the end of the year. Retin is a better all around player, he's just not the 3 point shooter Sina is.

I know recruiting is all about closing and that often involves making compromises, but promising minutes is a bad idea IMO. Too many unknowns

If you promise someone minutes, good chance they'll transfer quickly.

I agree. There are some situations where there'd have be a bad injury for them to not see the court. I think "If you work hard and compete, there's no reason you wouldn't get x minutes each game".

Not really a promise, but an idea of what the coach thinks you can do and contribute.

Retin's going to be one of our best players these next few years. Bank on it.

I think out of the players we have, Retin is the most likely to become a pro. I agree with Bird.

Where were you towards the end of the season? Can't imagine you watched too many of the later games if you think he's going to be a bad player...

Tarrant will be All-SEC in two years, he is a damn good player, saw him play at Tulane, glad he got away and got a chance to do something.
I also have nothing against Tulane just the simp truth.

Will he get much playing time or just sit on the bench?

I don't know. We're pretty deep in the backcourt but I doubt we would've signed him if we didn't think he could contribute

I don't think Key will play starter minutes or anything but 15 minutes a game is feasible.
