My bad, I thought you were referring to Zach Evans in comparison to Akers.

Devon Achane led the SEC with 7.0 yards per carry last season. He had 900+ yards rushing as RB2. World class speed (10.1 100m) and has good hands.
Achane is fast but is terribly underutilized in Jimbo's offense. LSU's backup defense held him to 49 yards. I do think he would be wildly successful in a different scheme.

You misspelled Tank Bigsby

Best headcase no doubt ... OP would be right about that. Jahmyr gibbs is the right answer tho.

Jahmyr gibbs

Tank might have the best year, and he is elite. But Auburn would've won the Iron Bowl had he been more situationally aware, and went down instead of allowing himself to be pulled out of bounds. Not saying he can't play well enough to make folks forget that, but it would take a lot.

Well he was second string this year. Yeah we should have used him more last year.

LSU had several NFL draft picks playing in that game. I believe the number was 7 last time I checked.

We nearly had 2 1000 yard rushers in 2021. Spiller over 1000+ and Achane with 900+. The running game was not the problem. We can revisit this when he goes for 1200+ as RB1 in 2022.

Well, there ya go
Dunno if he's the best in the SEC but he's going to be an absolute nightmare for teams this season in our scheme with our QB.

I don’t disagree. I’m just calling out all the kids claiming he’s the best now simply because he with wear crimson and white.

Well, yeah, but I can’t fault him for fighting for yards and competing. In hindsight he shouldn’t have gone out of bounds, yes, but also remember that Battle did a good of dragging him out.

Most bama fans wanted gibbs when he was coming out of high school... So it isnt a casual response to be excited about a guy that the staff had rated higher than some of the other rbs that year

Try 3. A third, fourth and fifth round selections.

That's fair and in hindsight, having all blockers and no speed on the field during a last second field goal attempt to win the Iron Bowl was not wise either.

IIRC Adrian Hubbard was the best athlete on the field for Alabama during that play

Where does he play? Never heard of him.

But not the nation. Treveyon Henderson. Learn it.
