No, that throw was very bad lol. That was pathetic. The worst part about the play was that he had the ball in his glove with the state players just slowly trotting in front of him and didn't even think to tag him out?! That was one of the most bizarre plays that I've ever seen. Holy shite auburn.

I have no horse in this race but I did feel bad for that kid though. That single play cost Auburn the game with what looked like a routine play or even simpler if he had tried to tag the runner.
Congrats on the win state, when you put the ball in play, there is always a chance. Auburn has a tough road in the losers bracket but they are a scrappy team.

It looks like he was trying to decide whether to make the tag or throw out the batter. He waited too long and decided on the safe play of throwing out the batter, but by that time the runner was in his way. He should have just thrown to 1st immediately.

Embarrassing for the sport of baseball in the NCAA CWS. This is the kind of shite as to why people think it's a joke. Supposedly the best 8 teams but have garbage errors like this?
