Was the #1 dual threat QB and top 35 player out of high school.
2400 yards 12 TDs and 7 INTs last year.

Yep. That's why Auburn fired the guy who once again failed to develop a highly rated HS QB.

Considering he played in a small school classification, it's not a surprise he was a bust. It's a lot easier to get big stats when you're playing intermural level competition.

He played at Pinson Valley. They're 6A.

I agree. I don't think he's a total bust yet, but I had hoped he would improve between his freshman and sophomore year. Hopefully Harsin and Bobo can straighten him out. We do have Davis coming in next year and maybe Harsin won't be as stubborn as Gus, although he really didn't have another viable option last year.

Yeah but 6A in Alabama is really small. At least compared to Georgia. Mostly less than 1000 students.

It doesn’t matter. Football is competitive in Alabama. If he was great in Alabama then he should be great in college.

The difference is he was likely the best athlete on the field in every game he played in HS. Every SEC starter is that big and fast now. He can't just run around and try to out-talent people now. The problem is that he's just as raw as he was as a senior.

Yes, that’s the point. He has not been developed at all. Same with receivers at Auburn. They leave the exact same way they showed up. Actually, sometimes they get worse. Maybe new coaching will help.
