Hannah is the greatest

A lot of people consider him to date the greatest OT in the history of football

I really don't like doing top 5s, because I'll immediately regret my 5 and want to change them.

There are so many greats players in each school's history, so hard to pick 5. Jim Bunch is worthy, Sly Croom, etc...

I couldn't even do a top 10 of RBs when it was asked on the Bama Board

1)John Hannah (SI-Best pro OL of all time)

2)Dwight Stephenson (considered by many as the best ever pro center)

3) Fred Sington

4) Cecil Dowdy

5) Andre Smith or Chris Samuels

I also wanted to add Croom because of how significant historically he was to Bama

Ben Tamburello
Walter Gilbert

Don't know a 5th Tyronne Green maybe, I'm sure there's a more accomplished guy out there though.

He is a much better pro than he ever was at Auburn. He is a pretty good example of why Hugh Nall is in the trucking business now since he lost his starting job his senior year to future Center and chop blocking extraordinaire Ryan Pugh.

was Steve Wallace a standout lineman at Auburn?

Seemed like he was a solid pro with the 49ers, played for them from 1986-1996.

Willie Anderson was another good one for Auburn.

There isn't an all time list that Bama doesn't represent well in but the OL, LB and QB certainly stick out as elite.

Guys, you forget about Bruiser Kinard. If you don't know who he is, look him up. Don't forget Jim Dunaway, Randy White, Todd Irvin, Pat Phoenix, Matt Luke, Richard "possum" Price....there were players prior to 1998.
