Nobody wants to listen to a Gomer Pyle sound alike do color on a football game. The audience would quickly grow weary with the frequent use of words and phrases like precious, one hearbeat, hold on to the rope, flying around, etc.

He has a whiney-arse raspy redneck voice and a terrible laugh.
