This is without question the greatest season ever by any CFB team. That gauntlet was brutal and we never blinked.

LSU beat the 29-0 reigning national champs handily, skull drug the Big 12 champions #1 scoring offense Oklahoma, curb stomped the widely considered the #1 defense SEC East champion UGA, the Orange Bowl champion UF Gators, and completely controlled A1bama at their place.
LSU beat all 4 of the AP preseason top 4 and beat three in dominating fashion, and between Clemson, Bama, UGA, UF, and Oklahoma, they account for 5 those teams 9 COMBINED losses.
Yes this is the most accomplished single season ever

People can argue all they want but the truth is in the numbers. It's the greatest single season of all time on paper, and even the eye test adds up. People will talk about this team for a long time.
I'm 42 and have seen 95 Nebraska, 01 Miami, the USC teams, Bama teams , Clemson teams, none of them were as dominate all year against the schedule we faced or they eye test the same. They all had their games they had to overcome adversity. Texas,Auburn and Clemson for 1 and a half quarters were the only adversity we faced and none of those games left you feeling we weren't the better team pretty easily.
Don't know if we are better than 95 Nebraska or 01 Miami but I'd have to see them best this team in order to believe it.
