That was b.s. because he beat Saban more than any other coach did. This new guy will not, for one reason he can't recruit as well as Gus did.

Did we recruit well with Gus? I mean we padded our stats with a bunch of highly rated skill players that we never used. I wouldn’t call that recruiting well.

You don't get it.
We're saying that we can live with the occasional loss to Gus if we're winning 6 national championships in 12 years, because with Gus, that was the ceiling. We even won one of those national championships in a year we lost to Gus. Seriously...even though we would rather have beaten Gus in 2017, did any of us really give a shite 6 weeks later? No one knows what the ceiling will be with this guy.

I believe BAMA is about to go on a run against AU. It's going to be fun to see how they do with their new coach, Coach What's His Name? Oh well, doesn't matter. Never heard of him.

Gus did it with a dysfunctional coaching staff, a weak strength and conditioning program and a streak of stubbornness that cost him games. Auburn will always be able to recruit because of location, now we will finally upgrade our facilities. Not real complicated.
