Plenty of people borrow beyond their means in the hopes of being able to pay it off down the road; what's to say that LSU is any different here?

I think Riley bailed and we offered the next playoff coach in line that would say yes to a blank check.
And I think he will bring stability and a lot of experience. He can build and sustain a roster. We really need that rn.

Agree completely with this. The program needed this.
But I don't necessarily agree with the 'last three coaches won natty's, so...' narrative written often, though.
Les and Ed won because they were river-boat gamblers, willing to take risks. Kelly is more like the hedge-fund manager.
Regardless, I welcome him to the SEC and LSU has made a nice hire.
