Barely. I remember them
Being pretty good in 2007 and that’s my last memory of it. I must’ve been 20 so almost half my life ago at this point.

Let's put their futility in perspective by comparing blue blood Tennessee to my lil' ol' Tigers for the past 20 seasons:

And before the Tennessee fans point out that half of those seasons for us were in the Big 12, since Mizzou joined the SEC:

10-win seasons:
Tennessee: 0
Mizzou: 2

Division championships:
Tennessee: 0
Mizzou: 2

Bowl wins:
Tennessee: 4
Mizzou: 3

Highest post-season ranking:
Tennessee: 22nd (2015 and 2016)
Mizzou: 5th (2013)

Honest question: when is Kansas cancelling its football program? At this point, they are just additional dollars you could be putting toward paying basketball players.

Kind of.. but not really. It’s hard to say what good is, because I’m a South Carolina fan and all I remember is Tennessee kicking the shite out of us most years… but I was 10 in 1998 so I’m talking 2000s.

Very well. The 2007 game is one of my favorite Bama wins. And then Rocky Block in 09. God, I used to hate those guys.

Still do I guess. But it ain’t the same.

In the 90's Tennessee just out talented everyone. Their X's and O's were average. Vols ran over everyone with talent and when they met a team that could match up, they lost. Fulmer was a great recruiter but shite as a split decision coach.

Sadly a true assessment of Fulmer. An elite X&O guy wins multiple nattys with the NFL rosters Tennessee had in the 90s and early 2000s. We were stupid stacked at every position.

Rodney Garner bolting for UGA hurt too. He was the key to our elite recruiting in Fulmer's hayday. Our talent started to dry up soon after he left to go work for Richt. We need to ensure he finishes his career out in Knoxville this go around.

I do and also remember when the SEC East was by far the stronger division.

Neither them nor Florida could compete with the ‘90s Nebraska teams though.

What if we point out that both were done in weaker divisions?
