Y'all remember from 1997 to 2009 Notre Dame was a football powerhouse? Take a look.

They play such an easy schedule. Just look at the success they had beginning with Bob Davie in 1997 and culminating in Charlie Weis in 2009!
1997–2001 Bob Davie 5 35–25 .583
2001* George O'Leary 0 0–0 .000
2002–2004 Tyrone Willingham 3 21–15 .583
2004** Kent Baer 1 0–1 .000
2005–2009 Charlie Weis 5 35–27 .565
2010–2021 Brian Kelly 12 106-39 .729
Brian Kelly should be ashamed of himself for underachieving there.
I fully expect Brian Kelly to embarrass himself at LSU, but it will be an embarrassment of WINS.
I recall when Saban got to Bama I was in full denial that he would be as successful as he’s become. My SEC brethren, you're in denial as well, but the reality of your hell will come to pass.
Please save this post and we can revisit in say 3-5 years.

I think Brian got them in the ACC so they got the softer schedule.

When the best anyone in this cesspool can do at trolling is to say Kelly is a ten win coach who cant win the big one, its safe to say its a pretty damn good hire.

Once Notre Dame lost to USC in 2005 they were never the same team under Weis. That broke them.

If you feel the need as a fan base to endlessly create threads justifying how awesome the coaching hire was. It probably isn’t that awesome.
