Honestly, if the guy didn’t feel that way, I would fire his arse. Should he say “We’re scum and we’ll always be scum in football, y’all come down and kick our asses and we’ll bend over and say ‘Thank you sir, may I have another?’”

I like the guy. He’s a Vandy alum and former player who really cares about the program and he believes what he’s doing is going to work.
He’s wrong, but I can’t hate him for it.

I guess because saying they look forward to going 1-7 in the conference and continually struggling to win more than 4 games in any given year might not be good for job security no matter how truthful it would be.
