It’s very clear at this point that the NCAA will investigate Wade and lsu to the point of crippling his recruiting efforts or cause his firing

We know an NCAA investigation is likely coming. But the FBI isn't turning over anything extra to the NCAA according to the FBI's counsel.

The FBI stonewalling the NCAA means the NCAA will have to do all its own digging. Absent proof being uncovered the last several months by LSU compliance, it looks like that's a non-starter for those hoping LSU/Wade get penalized.

Great. What magical evidence is going to come to light. We've likely heard the worst of the tape. Doesn't give a $$ amount, so the recording alone is not proof of improper benefits. As of now, the leaked tapes are an "anonymous" source evidence and the NCAA can't use anonymous sources. So if the tapes are never released, the NCAA literally has nothing. If the tapes come out, we've heard the worst of it.

The only other people who could provide that information are Wade, Smart, his family, or the handler. Since all of these people have been interviewed by LSU and the NCAA, except maybe the handler (who has no obligation to sit for an NCAA or LSU interview), and he was reinstated, I don't see where the magic evidence comes from.

The feds may still choose to share what they have (whatever that may be) with the NCAA when the trial has finished playing out.

Counsel for the FBI has said this is categorically not happening.

A blind man could have seen an NCAA investigation coming. At this point, without Wade testifying, who knows if they'll find anything, but this case was always going to be investigated by the NCAA.

Sure, but if you are the NCAA it wouldn't make any sense to announce this.

- LSU reinstating him means the NCAA didn't disapprove after their meeting.
- LSU comes out of the meeting thinking the NCAA was okay with the situation.

Wouldn't it make more sense for the NCAA to just sit back and let LSU think it's done, and then drop an investigation on them?

I just don't see the NCAA giving a warning out weeks/months before they start investigating.

He wasn't suspended because of the yahoo story or scandal. He was suspended because he wouldn't meet with Alleva and the NCAA.

He met with them, they reinstated him because their reasoning was wiped away.

And the first notice typically goes in writing to that institution before Yahoo news.

God Yahoo and the people that believe it are idiots. There is zero journalistic integrity left anymore.

I see your point and it's good. I just don't know that LSU wouldn't have seen it coming regardless.

True, I would hope LSU has been covering tracks for a while now.

Alleva will not be atLSU in 6 months.

Wade will be at LSU for awhile.

There will be zero punishment from the NCAA.

Everything Wade said was about Smart. The NCAA already investigated Smart and cleared him to play.

I like how they said "before fully launching what figures to be many investigations" as if the NCAA has some unlimited amount of man power to open up the amount of investigations that would be needed. There were over 20 schools named in all of this shite. Maybe more. I can't really remember at this point.

Unless the Feds dig up something new, the NCAA does not have shite or LSU compliance would not have let Wade reinstated.
