That’s very sad to me. I don’t think it’s positive for college football in the least either.

My thinking is, your co-worker celebrates non-BCSNCG/CFP wins over Alabama and Auburn than BCSNCG/CFP losses. That’s pathetic. And I doubt he is a true fan. I’ll take an OU CFP close loss or blowout loss over a meaningless NY6 bowl win any day.

So he's not a true fan because he has a different opinion than you? Maybe he just realizes that your teams haven't really been championship caliber lately and it has showed in the games that matter most.

Take the hardware if it were these options as a certainty.

In Oklahoma’s position, I would rather keep going to the playoffs as a dog. You will never win if it all if you don’t get there.

Weird thing to claim a “melt” over.

Good utilization of hyperbole.

Oregon fans are feeling way better than OU fans right now. That’s for sure.

Being a fan of a perpetual 7 or 8 seed in the NBA playoffs sounds like the 9th layer of hell.

I'd rather go to the playoffs once and lose, than win one NY6 bowl.

But if you gave me the option of five back to back playoffs losses vs five back to back NY6 bowl victories, I'd choose the bowl games.

Why does the Orange Bowl being a sellout bother you?

How did you arrive at that bothering me?

Seems like you want it to but it’s not.

I saw empty sections, not just seats. You seem most bothered by me pointing that out.

But what does that have to do with the fact that the Orange Bowl was a sellout?

Oklahoma should be banned like an AR in NYC from the playoffs. It's now a joke.

This is all I said and you went into dusguised melt-mode.

You can say it was a sell out. But it was poorly attended and is a slight to the game calling itself a sellout; not your gators. Chill, babe.

But why get bothered by someone posting a fact on a sports message board?

If you call that “bothered” then I feel bad for you. The only one that was bothered ended up being you.

What's really gut-busting is when OU uses that "We are used to the big stage" argument.

And yet I was the one who posted a fact.

Depends on season. Afer Tua went down I didn't want any part of the playoffs to get skull drug. What I wanted was a nice bowl game hopefully NY6 and a big win over a Penn State type team to help build momentum. I think if we had made the playoffs somehow and either lost the payoff game or NC game it would have been same old same old but instead I feel like there is something to build on for next year. I actually think a big bowl win outside of playoffs would help Oklahoma

Welcome to mediocrity thinking. Good to have Bama back at 2nd tier.
