I am thinking Kentucky needs to make a move and pull him out of Lubbock. :inbeforebarnerssayhesucks:

IMO no. I don't even think UK is that desperate yet.

Yes, I think he wants to be back in the SEC and Kentucky would be a good fit.

Not sure that he wouldn't get an offer somewhere in the SEC and he would be a good one for UK to get. He can overachieve while not recruiting top tier talent and win 6 to 8 games at UK. That would probably be good to go there.

But in my opinion, he wouldn't come back to the SEC. I think Tech is perfect for him, no expectations and a long way from anywhere.

Agree, I think he has a good situation now. No need for the hassle of coaching in SEC.

Only if Kentucky were on board with investing in football. I think TT is a good environment, but his biggest difficulty would be getting guys to like Lubbock.

Yeah but the duck hunting in Kentucky is better than Texas.

Tubs isnt going to leave Tech for Kentucky.

Easier conference, easier to recruit to, etc. Would be taking a step down in jobs as well.

There's not a big difference in the advantages/disadvantages between TT & Kentucky. But Kentucky being in the SEC with the same expectations would be more appealing to him. I think he would be a good compliment to Cal

From everything I've gathered Tubbs is not crazy about Lubbock and the feeling is mutual. If he starts to lose they will show him the door quickly

You've fallen off your rocker.

Tech is in Texas. The most fertile recruiting area in the country. Tech is a football first school. They have a very passionate fan base when concerning football.

No it wouldnt. It is Kentucky, and he is at Texas Tech right now. Thats a huge step down in jobs, no matter the conference comparisons.

Everything Ive heard says that he likes it out there.

He has lost. They were 5-7 a year ago, their first losing season since joining the Big 12 and there was no fans wanting his head.

So is Texas, aTm, TCU, Baylor, which are all in his conference and a couple of more schools like Houston that are a lot more appealing than Tech.

We'll have to agree to disagree because I think if an SEC school offers Tubbs the right contract he won't turn them down

He isnt going to leave Tech. Not on his own. Especially not for Kentucky.

The only thing he cannot do in Texas is duck hunt, and he does that in Arkansas anyway.

I wouldn't think he'd leave TT for kentucky. He might do it for Tennessee though. Tennessee could (and has) done a lot worse than Ears.

Obviously, you've never been to Lubbock, TX.

Tech might as well be in New Mexico. It is so far away from the other Texas schools, and Lubbock is simply a dump
