Jimbo Fisher

2016: 10-3
2017: 5-6

Ed Orgeron

2018: 10-3
2019: 15-0
2020: 5-5

Jimbo's last three seasons prior to being hired at Texas A&M featured him obtaining a 25-12 overall record, 14-10 in conference play (ACC), and an average roster talent ranking of #4.

Orgeron's last three seasons feature him obtaining a 30-8 overall record, 19-8 in conference play (SEC), and with an average roster talent ranking of #6.

O wouldn’t even get an interview if A&M had an opening

No, an idiot can and has produced that record at LSU.

Jimbo had more talent at Florida State during his final three seasons than O had at LSU during his last three seasons.

How many coaches has A&M interviewed in the last 80 years?

Even if they manage to hire a coach capable of winning a NC (Bear Bryant, Jimbo), they don’t do it while in College Station.

Meanwhile, LSU hires a couple of bafoons (arse grabbing Les & Shrimp Boat Captain) and walks always with a couple of NCs.

O Cracked the code in 2019. Get a stud qb and a coordinator. Let them flourish.

Jimbo can speak English. They'd have to find a translator if they wish to interview Orgeron.

Slow your roll there , son. Your coach is named “Jimbo” and your school has never won anything in any of our lifetimes . Have some fricking RESPECT for the coach and school that had the greatest season in college football HISTORY just two short years ago and which has beaten you 8 out of the last 10.

LSU tried to hire Fisher before they hired Orgeron, and Fisher has a winning record against Orgeron so there’s that

So you're saying Aggies would rather be 2-1 over Orgeron than 1-2 with a national championship?

The data doesn't support your claim.

Florida State 2015: 3 5-star, 25 4-star
Florida State 2016: 1 5-star, 33 4-star
Florida State 2017: 4 5-star, 25 3-star

LSU 2018: 6 5-star, 34 4-star
LSU 2019: 8 5-star, 33 4-star
LSU 2020: 7 5-star, 35 4-star

In fact, it's nowhere close to what you claim. Orgeron's 2019 team had as many 5-star players as Florida State's 2015-2017 teams COMBINED.

Not sure where you got your numbers but I used the easily verifiable 247 Sports team talent composite.

For instance, here is the ranking for 2016:

No one but LSU would give Coach O a contract.

Why? That's no kind of accurate indicator of team talent.

So you’re saying Aggy is a worse football school/program than LSU.
