LSU dodged a bullet by Herman choosing UTA over LSU.
The 2019-2020 LSU team is arguably the best team ever, but could Herman have gone the distance with that squad?

Tom Herman had the opportunity and passed up on recruiting Joe Burrow.
Ed also went head to head with Herman and beat him out for guys like Klavon Chaisson

If he had been hired by LSU, he wouldn't have recruited the same players/coaches that made that run possible.
